Idoine is one of the official well-being partners of the Organisme Le Chaînon, whose mission is to welcome and help women in difficulty (homelessness, domestic violence, addiction, etc.). Idoine helps this organization with donations of products to put a little balm on the hearts and wounds of all these women. In order to support the health personnel who worked tirelessly during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic. COVID-19 in the spring, Idoine donated 20 kg of facial cleanser to the Order of Nurses of Quebec.
We seek to inform and raise awareness among all our stakeholders about the social and environmental impacts related to the cosmetics industry, particularly through our social networks.
We work in constant collaboration with local suppliers, customers, as well as with other companies in the cosmetics sector or other sectors, in order to evolve practices and promote the local economy.
We firmly believe that the keys to a more resilient society are the development of the circular economy, the sharing of ideas, job creation in Quebec, and stimulation of the Quebec economy.
Eco conception
ou know, our products are certified organic by Québec Vrai and our recipes contain 100% plant-based materials, without endocrine disruptors, petroleum derivatives or ingredients harmful to the skin and the environment.
Our formats are larger than most other brands to avoid overproduction of containers.
Idoine has invested heavily in research and development so that its products are fluid enough to be sold completely within 24 hours. Simply flip the bottle to release the last few precious drops. No waste!
Packaging
In 2016, in Canada, “90% of plastic waste [was] buried, incinerated, or distributed in the environment” (source). And global production of plastic is increasing faster than other materials (source).
For all these reasons, all our bottles are made of glass in order to limit the production of plastic.
The Idoine bottle is sufficient in itself. We have worked hard to give you all the information you need on bottle labels and thus avoid cardboard boxes.
For our deliveries, we use FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified recycled cardboard, as well as kraft paper padding. You will not find any plastic or polystyrene in your packages. Furthermore, our supplier is a social integration company.
CIRCULAR ECONOMY
Throughout their life cycle, Idoine products are designed and designed to respect the environment and our communities.
Responsible and local sourcing
All our products are manufactured and assembled in Quebec. Our offices are located in Rosemont.
Our raw materials come from Quebec suppliers who ensure that they are purchased fairly and that producers obtain a fair price.
We promote the local economy by signing partnerships with Montreal artisans for the manufacturing of some of our products such as bar soaps or Zero Waste items.
Idoine supports the solidarity economy by purchasing all its IT equipment and cardboard packaging from social integration companies.
Our surplus ingredients are never thrown away.
We use them to make bar soaps made by a Montreal artisan. We donate them to the Chaînon organization for the well-being of the women it welcomes in its residences.
Order
We have set up a deposit system to recover, sterilize and reuse our glass containers. Our medium-term objective is to recover 100% of the bottles to put them back into circulation, and to find a solution for the reuse or recycling of the pumps.
You can return your empty Idoine bottles (15 ml, 60 ml and 100 ml) to stores that participate in our deposit system. Thus, you will receive as many stamps as bottles returned to your Idoine loyalty card. If you do not have a loyalty card, you can request one at the store where you will return your bottles. After 12 stamps, receive a product of your choice (maximum value of $50). All details are written on the card.
