The Story Behind Our Eco-Friendly Packaging Choices

At Idoine, every decision we make reflects our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The creation of our new individual boxes with our products printed on glass is no exception. We wanted to find a solution that respects our values while offering an aesthetic and practical experience for our customers.

The first question we asked ourselves was: how can we reduce the environmental impact of a temporary product like packaging? The answer was to create a box recyclable in all recycling centers, without exception. To achieve this, we decided to use a simple white box because only light colors are easily detected and efficiently sorted in recycling systems. We avoided any option that would add non-recyclable layers, such as selective varnish or metallic elements. These choices, although sometimes visually attractive, render multi-layered packaging non-recyclable, which we wanted to avoid at all costs.

In addition to these choices, we also opted for using 30% recycled cardboard for the manufacturing of our individual boxes. This further reduces our ecological footprint while ensuring the recyclability of the packaging.

While our box may appear simple at first glance, it represents a complex and thoughtful approach. This simplicity ensures that every box can have a second life through recycling. It’s not just packaging; it’s a promise that this temporary waste will not become a permanent burden on our environment.

In parallel, we have made significant progress by printing our products directly onto our glass bottles. This innovation eliminates the use of traditional labels, thereby reducing additional waste. Moreover, it extends the lifespan of the bottles within our deposit program, as glass printing is much more durable than labels that can degrade or peel off over time.

These choices, while they may seem simple, are the result of a rigorous and conviction-driven process. At Idoine, we believe that every small gesture counts towards making a big difference. Through this new initiative, we hope to inspire our customers to be part of this change for a more sustainable world.
